Beginner moves:
SIDE TO SIDE (LET GO)
CHANGE BEHIND
ARMJIVE
Tips when doing these moves.
Men make sure that you keep your left hand low as you do the Side to Side and always make sure you face your partner as you step back as it confuses the lady when you try to take your hand through having stepped back sideways on to her.
Change Behind involves men changing the ladies hand into their left hand as they turn a half turn ACW. Keep the hand low in your back as you change the hand so not to hurt your arm.
Men keep your hands at waist height to twist from side to side during the Armjive.
Intermediate moves:
FRENCH LADY MANHATTAN DOUBLE TURN COMB
SIDE TO SIDE BLOCKS
HAMMERLOCK BLOCK
Tips when doing these moves
The French Lady Manhattan Double Turn Comb involves the man doing a armjive as he then turns the lady with his left hand as he holds down with his right hand so that she ends up in a nelson position with her left arm. He then Manhattans forward and back, then changes places with the lady as he double turns her ACW adding a left hand comb on the end of the move.
Just have fun with the Side to Side Block! Men make sure that youcatch your lady quickly at the waist with your right hand as you lunge to the left, then block her with your left hand as you block to the right. Your exit comes after the third block as you then send the lady across to the left and catch with your left hand in a hooked grip
For the Hammerlock Block, men use a bowling action to turn the lady CW under their left arm. The man then turn a half turn CW to lower his left arm into a nelson position. He then quickly steps forward to change places with the lady as he steps around her in a CW direction so that he is to her left side. He then pulls the lady back past his right side, without her turning and turns to face as he catches with 2 hands.
