Beginner moves:

OCTOPUS

PRETZEL

MAN SPIN

Tips when doing these moves.

The Octopus involves men changing places with the lady as she or he turns. When wrapping in the lady, she should be turning Anti Clock Wise.

Make sure ladies, when doing the Pretzel that you fully relax your arms, as you may hurt yourself or your partner. Guys if the lady resists with her arms, abort the move so not to hurt her shoulders or your own.

When doing the Man Spin, men make sure you signal the move with your right palm facing the floor at waist height.

Intermediate moves:

OCTOPUS REVOLVER

PRETZEL SPIN VARIATION

MAN SPIN CLAMP!

Tips when doing these moves

Ladies relax your arms for the Octopus Revolver. Men don't forget that you drop your left hand as you turn the lady on beat 5 of the move.

The Pretzel Spin variation involves the men turning the lady  a full turn clock wise after they have raised their right arm, then prepare the lady for a spin.

Man Spin Clamp! (tongue in cheek!) involves the man taking his left hand to his left hip as he gently clamps the ladies right arm in place to walk around.

We really hope you enjoyed last weeks moves. Ask for help next week if you wish to recap them.

At Dance Verve we always incorporate two beginner moves and one intermediate move from the previous week's lesson, in order to refresh your last week's skills and to help you link them to new moves.

Remember to let us know if you have any feedback on the way we run the club and the music we play. All feedback, good or bad, is welcome, as we really want to make the club the best it can be for all our customers.
