Beginner moves:

BASKET & COMB

NECKBREAK

LADYSPIN

Tips when doing these moves.

Make sure when doing the Basket & Comb that you step in to meet the lady half way as you wrap her in for the basket then; as you start to do the comb, men turn a 1/4 turn away from the lady to make the combing of your left hand easier for both of you.

Men should take care with the Neckbreak.  After wrapping the lady in ready to whisk the lady around for the 11/2 turns CW, he should make sure that he lets the lady come fully to face them before he raises his LH to turn the lady for a second turn. If he does not do this he is likely to lift his hand too soon and will therefore hurt the ladies shoulder.

When doing the Lady Spin men make sure that you prepare for the ladies to spin by taking your RH across to the right hand side at the ladies waist height and create a cupped hand for the lady to place her fist into. Ladies press your fisted right hand into the man's cupped hand to create the tension needed for the spin.

Intermediate moves:

YO YO WHIRLS & TANGO SLIDES

NECK BREAK WALK

RIGHT HAND EIGHT & BREAK THROUGH

Tips when doing these moves

When doing the Yo Yo Whirls and Tango Slides, guys should change the ladies right hand into their LH in order to turn the lady CW to collect her into the ballroom frame. It is important to have a firm frame to lead the slides and rock steps.

The Neck Break Walk is guided by the man. He keeps and upright frame with his hands at the ladies shoulder height, as he first steps forwards turning them both CW, then he steps forward as they both turn ACW.

The Right Handed Eight and Break through involves the man turning himself ACW as he changes places with the lady, then quickly dipping and raising his right hand to turn the lady a full turn ACW. The break through involve the man turning ACW as he takes his right hand to his right hand as he cahnges places with the lady.
