Beginner moves:

CATAPULT

TEAPOT

FIRST MOVE PUSH SPIN

Tips when doing these moves.

When doing the Catapult it is important that the men step forward to stand directly in front of the lady on beat 3 and then on beat 4 bring the lady into his LHS.

Make sure men, when doing the Teapot that you step forward without turning as you comb your left hand over your head.

When doing the First Move, men step back on their left foot as they turn the lady out. Ladies pivot around with the weight on your left foot then step back on your right foot once turned out. Remember ladies place their left hand on the man's nearest shoulder at this point. The left hand comb at the end of the move involves the man turning a 1/4 turn CW away from the lady, to create a window shape to comb over their head.

Intermediate moves:

WINDOW LEAD AROUND & HALLELUJAH

ROTATING BASKET SLING

FIRST MOVE ELBOW HOOK & LEAN

Tips when doing these moves

During the Window Lead Around & Hallelujah men should raise both hands over the ladies head as he turns her ACW and as she is almost to face, he should drop his right hand down onto his bicep.  This creates the windown shape needed to walk around. Men lead the lady around them in a CW direction to get out of the window.

Once the man has wrapped the lady in for a basket he immediately walks CW around her about 1/2 a turn and then twists her CW another 1/2 turn. The man then pushes the lady directly out in front of him, to create tension, before he pulls her back past his right hand side, then offering his spare hand to the lady.

For the First Move Elbow Hook & Lean, the man steps in with a 2 hand hold and hooks his right elbow over the ladies left arm as they step in side by side. The man turns the lady out as he would for a first move but lets go with his right hand and offers it under the ladies left arm. The man turns to face the lady as he swaps his ladies hand into his right hand to return her into a lean.

We really hope you enjoyed last weeks moves. Ask for help next week if you wish to recap them.
